Early morning start, Golden Bay turned on the works for us, brilliant sunrise, calm waters, great skipper. Catching fish straight away, perch, cod, shark - spotty dog & sand variety, kahawai & snapper. Just the newly-weds & the skipper onboard, 4 rods going, all calm one minute "nek minnit" all 4 rods blazing. Tremendous fishing, first time on the mainland, definitely not the last.
Went trawling for kahawai, they were jumping on our hooks, non-stop action. Leigh sees a flare go off. Immediately we set off to investigate. Two people on a boat which doesn't start & a friend diving they haven't seen for over an hour. We set off to look for the friend, we find him on a rock surrounded by seals. He gets rescued. We go to his friends tie them up and tow them back to port.
Fresh fish for lunch, oh for sure! Great Day Fishing - everyone back home is going to hear about Wildcat Charters & hopefully some of them come down. Thanks, Leigh for a great day!!

Awesome fishing trip. After getting off to a slow start we had a very successful fishing trip catching a 5kg shark among other things. Really good skipper v.professional with regards to health and safety. We were lucky it was quiet so there were only 2 of us on the trip. All our catches were filleted for us so we could take them away and put them straight on the bbq. It was our first time fishing and we were really chiffed with what we got. Deffo recommend to others.

On the water at 7am, good calm day, caught as many fish as we liked - cod, perch, baracouta, terakihi, gurnard. Leigh looked after us & worked hard with our tackle and baiting. Enjoyable time, thanks Leigh.

David & Pete, Mich & Paddy, caught a bag limit of good Blue Cod, a dozen school shark, a 'couda, umpteen perch and 1 Tarakihi! A great time had by all and Leigh was a great skipper - spent longer at sea to ensure the load of cod. Would recommend the charter to anyone! Thanks Leigh.

A great morning, cod, terakihi, gurnard & a 1 hour battle with a 20+ lb shark - the shark won - the line broke. We will be back for another battle next year! Thanks Leigh.
